November began with the third and last visit of American officer Micah Savidge at the headquarters of UDTTMR to say farewell to the Tatar community, whom he also visited on the first day of the Ramadan fasting month, on August 1, 2011 and at the end of August 2012, during Ramadan, his mandate in Romania, begun in January 2011, reaching the end in January of next year.
After the discussions with UDTTMR President Gelil Eserghep and his guests, Aledin Amet, UDTTMR MP, Varol Amet, the 2012 UDTTMR MP candidate, Nagi Gelal, UDTTMR vice president, Gevat Bari, Head of the Education Commission of UDTTMR, Elvis Ismail, senior vice president of UDTTMR Constanta Branch, Mufti Muurat Iusuf, Head of the Muslim Cult in Romania, the U.S. political officer was greeted with great warmth and eagerness by about 65 Tatar children from Constanta and Medgidia who, encouraged by the president of the union, left their emotions aside and asked the guest questions about the United States of America, both in Romanian and in English, and expressed their views and interests in the American social, economical and political life, but mostly their admiration towards the American artists, education and young people, as well as their desire to visit or to learn at a prestigious school in the U.S.
At the meeting with the children, most of them participants in the Tatar language courses organized by UDTTMR, were present Aidun Curt-Mola, subprefect of Constanta County, Ilcbal Anefi, Turkish Inspector, on behalf of Constanta County School Inspectorate, Bedrie Amet, teacher at ,,Mihai Eminescu ” National College in Constanta, Neriman Ibraim and Nurdan Bolat, UDTTMR Tatar language teachers, and other teachers from Constanta.
The U.S. officer’s visit ended with a press conference in which both UDTTMR President Gelil Eserghep and the American guest talked about the good cooperation between the Tatar community and the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, the Romanian – American relationship, and the implementation of future joint projects.
